Rates & Insurance

My current rates for therapy are $150.00 for initial intake appointments, and $100.00 for each follow up appointment.  If your Insurance is out of the Network I am contracted with you will be considered an "out of pocket" client.  You will be required to pay the full amount for the session at the beginning of each appointment.  A "Superbill” will be provided for you (upon request) indicating the amount paid as well as all other pertinent information.  This can then be submitted for reimbursement. If you are an "out of pocket" client experiencing financial hardship, a discussion can take place to discuss options to help make therapy a possibility for you.

If I am a Provider under your Insurance Company, you will be responsilbe only for the Co-pay required (payable at the beginning of each visit.) Please note that many current plans have a very high deductible.  If that is the case with your plan, you are responsible for the entire contracted fee until you have met your deductible.  Once the deductible has been met you will then be responsible only for your co-pay.


Payments can be made in cash or by check, credit, debit, or pre-paid medical debit cards.

Session Length

First sessions are usually 90 minutes and follow up sessions are 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Please note, if you arrive late, your session time cannot be extended unless previously discussed and agreed upon.

Cancellation Fee:

There is a cancellation fee of $50.00 which must be paid if you cancel your appointment in fewer than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.  Please understand that in a Private Practice my income is based on the fees collected for each session.  Late cancellations are very difficult to fill and account for a high loss of weekly income.  Thank you for understanding this policy.  This will be reviewed in the "Informed Concent" form which you sign as part of your initial paperwork.  

Insurance:  Currently I am a Provider for Anthem Blue Cross, Medicaid (HUSKY), MultiPlan, CHNPPO, and CAQH.  
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physicians?

The software program I use allows for the option of letting clients schedule their own appointments by going directly into my calendar and selecting from the appointments available.  NOTE:  THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME but I am considering it.  If you are an existing client and believe this would be helpful to you, please let me know as I will take that into consideration.  Thank you!
